Information and Referrals
Information is power. WRC provides women with up-to-date information and referrals backed up with personal support, advocacy and collective action on issues affecting the local community.
Physical Resources and Equipment
WRC equipment to meet the needs of women in the community including phone, binder, laminator, washing machine, shower, and photocopier/scanner.
WRC access to computers with a broadband connection and fast link to the Internet. Other equipment includes self defence equipment, PA, musical instruments, microphones, speakers & our famous homemade pizza oven!
WRC meeting place is a safe and friendly with tea and coffee facilities, children’s toys etc.
WRC is warm in winter and cool in summer so it is comfortable for users. Our premises enable us to provide a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, child safe garden and backyard shed for activities as well.

SOCIAL INCLUSION PROGRAMS
Computer support and training, Be Connected community computer access, Sohoalcoast Community Legal Outreach, ATO Tax Help, Work Development Orders and Student Work Experience placements.

COMMUNITY NETWORK GROUPS
The WRC convenes the Bega Valley Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Committee and regularly organises Professional Development training for Community Workers.
Be Connected
Be Connected helps members of our community get the skills they need to use computers and access the Internet.
WRC has 3 Be Connected computers available to women who want to learn how to use a computer and surf the Internet free of charge.
Facebook Wom Ensouth
WRC is on Facebook, enabling our social networks to increase and help spread the word about WRC.
FREE Fresh Food (Secondbite &Oz Harvest)
Free Fresh Food program helps to provide access to fresh, nutritious food for women in need in Bega each Wednesday and Thursday morning.
Volunteers support WRC to redistribute surplus fresh food, which builds community capacity and reduces waste.

ATO TAX HELP Volunteers
The Shoalcoast Community Legal Service provides free legal assistance and information to women residing in South East NSW and visits WRC once a fortnight.

Work and development orders (WDOs) allow eligible clients to reduce their SDRO fines through unpaid work with the WRC. You are an eligible client if you:

have a mental illness or intellectual disability

are homeless

have a addiction to drugs or alcohol

are experiencing financial hardship

Australian Tax Office volunteers support and help low income earners to prepare and lodge their tax returns on-line.
Tax Help is a FREE and confidential service provided by volunteers at WRC in Bega.
TAX HELP runs from July - October each year.
