Southern Women's Group is a public benevolent institution, a Registered Charity and a Deductible Gift Recipient with Income Tax Exemption. 

 

SWG manages the Women's Resource Centre Bega and Far South Coast Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service which covers courts Batemans Bay, Bega, Eden, Milton, Moruya, Narooma, Nowra NSW.

 

Our main purpose is to work directly with the Bega Valley community so all women feel included, empowered and supported to live free from violence and all forms of discrimination.

 

SWG Inc. assists to relieve poverty, sickness, suffering and provide our services directly to people in need of support.

 

SWG is asking the community to dig deep and provide financial or other support to our work. Donations of $5 or more are tax deductible and can be made by:

Donations will be used to support our current programs and resources with our vision to open WRC another day per week. 

 

How Can I join?

The Southern Women’s Group encourages volunteer effort in our services. We direct this unpaid time and energy into the Management Collective as well as social action and advocacy to ensure local needs are met.

SWG annual membership is $2 or $10 includes the e-newsletter.

SWG is managed by a voluntary Collective, operating on feminist principles. Managment meetings are held monthly on the third Friday and are open to all interested women. The SWG has Directors’ and Officers’ Liability insurance for members of the collective.
